Soom T Biographie :

Soom T, chanteuse écossaise d’origine indienne, a grandi dans un quartier défavorisé de Glasgow. Elle fait d’abord partie d’un groupe de hip-hop puis découvre les sound systems, notamment grâce au collectif Mungo’s Hi Fi, également originaire de Glasgow. Si le rap demeure son mode d’expression favori, Soom T se laisse séduire par la scène reggae-dub dans laquelle elle se sent libre. 

L'artiste est rapidement repérée par le public notamment grâce à sa musique généreuse et son flow incisif et inimitable. Soom T manie les mots avec une incroyable facilité et a toujours prôné la sincérité dans ses paroles. Elle devient alors une artiste incontournable de la scène reggae underground.

Soom T revient avec un nouvel album "The Arch", prévu pour le 15 mai 2020. Composé et enregistré avec le groupe de musiciens lyonnais Highly Seen, ce nouvel album intitulé « The Arch » est à l’image de celle que l’on nomme aujourd’hui « la princesse du Raggamuffin » ! Soom T, comme à son habitude, livre des textes très engagés tout en conservant une certaine légèreté qui lui est propre.
