The music of Augustus Pablo is timeless and has become a part of the foundation of what we call Roots Reggae. The Cassava Piece Riddim is one of his most popular versions and American Producers Green Lion Crew have teamed up with his son Addis Pablo to recreate this mystic riddim in 2021. The album called Green Lion Crew meets Addis Pablo & Friends Uptown features vocalists Micah Shemaiah, Medisun, Mr Williamz, Lavosti, and Jah Bami. It also includes heavy dub versions from Suns Of Dub, Green Lion Crew, and Addis Pablo. Watch as Addis trods up Strawberry hill in Irish Town Kingston, Jamaica playing his melodica and shows you the vibes of the Cassava Piece Riddim! David Rodigan is showing support on BBC and had this to say about the project:
